Parappa is the insanely cute teenage pup who is the star of the big hit Playstation game Parappa the Rapper. The concept came from genius pop musician and computer whiz Masaya Matsuura. His idea was to create a fantastically fun game that used Rap music create a "Simon Says" style challenge. He needed characters and a world for his game, and asked fellow Sony artist Rodney Alan Greenblat to create the graphic look. The character of Parappa was added to Rodney's RodneyFun product line.

Parappa's goal in life is to impress his girl friend Sunny Funny. He tries to do this in many ways, but usually ends up trying to sing a complicated rap. Parappa loves Karate, driving, and going to flea markets. He doesn't like cooking or being in a car and having to go to the bathroom really badly.
